Renfrew works best when people pull together.
The Community Council is made up of local people who care about the town and want to help it work better — in small, practical ways.
It’s not party political.
It’s not a talking shop.
It’s people working together to get things done.
Is this for you?
This might be for you if:
-
You care about Renfrew and how it works
-
You’ve noticed things that could be better
-
You’d like to help but don’t want a huge commitment
-
You prefer practical action over arguments or politics
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to know how councils work.
You just need to be willing to take part.

How much time does it take?
You can contribute in a way that fits around your life.
Most members:
-
Come to one meeting a month
-
Help with something small if they choose
-
Step back when life gets busy
You are not expected to do everything.
What would I actually do?
That depends on you.
Some people:
-
Help organise local events
-
Work with schools or community groups
-
Raise and follow up local issues
-
Support projects in their area
-
Help with communication or admin
You can focus on one or two things, not everything.

We’re looking for people from across Renfrew
We want the Community Council to properly reflect the whole town.
Right now, some parts of Renfrew are less represented than others - and we’re working to change that.
That means bringing in more people from different areas, backgrounds and experiences.
If you live in Renfrew, your perspective matters.
