It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Lindsay McKillop has stepped down from Renfrew Community Council after 45 years of unbroken service.

In announcing the decision, Lindsay said:

“It’s with heavy heart that after 45 years of unbroken service, I find myself resigning given my, at times, challenging health issues. It has been a privilege, honour, and a very humbling experience to serve Renfrew.I’ve seen the good and the bad of local politics — the best of practice and some not so good — but Renfrew has always been a wonderful community.I have only ever tried to make it better for its people, and if I could help someone through my life, I did.I would like to thank everyone for the opportunities I’ve been afforded, and all who joined our Facebook page — 6.8k of you — it’s been a pleasure.”

Lindsay’s decades of dedication to Renfrew and its people leave an extraordinary legacy of community service, care, and commitment.

Tell us about your bit of Renfrew

Tell us the street, area, or place this affects. It doesn’t need to be exact - a street name or nearby landmark is fine

In your own words, tell us what you’re seeing or experiencing. This can be a problem, something that feels unsafe, or just something that could be better.

How does this affect the area?
Feels unsafe
Hard to get around
Run-down or neglected
Noisy or disruptive
Missed opportunity
Just flagging for awareness
Not sure - just wanted to highlight it

You don’t need to have a solution but if you do, we’d like to hear it.
