Something Spooky Is Coming to Robertson Park This Halloween 🎃

Renfrew is getting ready for a frightfully fun afternoon this Halloween, as Renfrew Community Council brings a completely FREE Halloween event to Robertson Park on Saturday 31 October 2026.

We’re inviting children and families from across Renfrew to dig out their costumes, practise their best spooky faces and come along for an afternoon packed with Halloween fun.

From games and prizes to costumes, jokes, songs and tricks, we’re planning something that gives local families a chance to get together, enjoy Robertson Park and celebrate Halloween right here in the heart of Renfrew.

And the best bit? It won’t cost you a penny to come along.

Two spooky sessions for different age groups

To make sure younger and older children both get the chance to enjoy the event, the afternoon will be split into two separate sessions.

Children aged 6 and under are welcome between 1pm and 2pm, before we welcome children aged 7 to 12 between 3pm and 4pm.

That gives each age group their own hour of Halloween fun and helps us make the activities as enjoyable as possible for everyone taking part.

The event will take place in Robertson Park, Renfrew, on Saturday 31 October.

What can you expect?

We don’t want to give away every spooky surprise just yet, but families can look forward to plenty happening throughout the afternoon.

There’ll be spooky games, prizes, best costume fun, jokes, songs, tricks and more, with plenty of opportunities for children to get involved.

And, of course, Halloween costumes are very much encouraged.

Whether they want to arrive as a witch, ghost, vampire, superhero, monster, skeleton or something completely different, we’re looking forward to seeing what Renfrew’s youngsters come up with.

Bringing people together in Renfrew

The Halloween event is about more than pumpkins and costumes.

One of Renfrew Community Council’s priorities is creating more opportunities for people to come together, participate in community life and enjoy events happening in their own town.

Robertson Park is one of Renfrew’s best-known public spaces, and we want to make more use of places like it for activities that families can enjoy together.

Renfrew Community Council Chair Callum Reid said:

“We wanted to do something really fun for families in Renfrew this Halloween and give people another reason to get out, enjoy Robertson Park and spend time together. We’re hoping to see the park full of little ghosts, witches, monsters, superheroes and everything in between. There’ll be games, prizes, costumes and plenty of Halloween fun across both sessions — and because it’s completely free, families can simply come along and get involved. We want Renfrew Community Council to be visible, active and bringing people together, and events like this are a great way of doing exactly that.”
