Easter Egg Hunt brings Renfrew together as 745 eggs are donated and shared

Renfrew Community Council would like to thank residents, volunteers and local supporters after a brilliant Easter Egg Hunt that brought families together and filled the park with activity.

The turnout was far beyond what many of us expected. Children took part across the route, families stayed in the park afterwards, and the play area was busy throughout. It felt like a proper community afternoon, with neighbours and friends stopping to chat while the kids played together.

Thanks to generous donations from local supporters, we were able to hand out 745 Easter eggs on the day.

We also want to say a special thank you to the children of Kirklandneuk Primary School for creating fantastic decorations for the event. They helped make the whole day feel welcoming and special for families.

Thank you to our donors and supporters

We are very grateful to everyone who donated eggs and supported the event, including:

Cllr Paterson, Cllr Gray, Cllr McGuire, Cllr Hughes, Cllr Shaw, Cllr McEwan, Alison Taylor MP, Natalie Don (former MSP), Renfrewshire Toybank, Broadloan Gardens, Tesco Renfrew, MJ Driving School, AMR Motorcycles Ltd and Renfrew Football Club.

Thank you to the volunteers

Events like this only happen when people step in and do their bit. Thank you to everyone who helped plan, organise and run the day, and a special well done to Jan and the team for pulling it together.

Some people talk as though our best days are behind us. We do not believe that for a second. Days like this show what Renfrew is like when people pull together, and the next generation coming through will do this town proud.
